Saul A. Solomon has served as President of Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions since March 2008. A unit of the U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, Bridgestone Bandag is responsible for new truck and retread tire product and service offerings to commercial fleet customers. Solomon concurrently holds the title of President, U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales division for Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations.
Having previously led a transition team during Bridgestone Americas’ 2007 merger with Bandag, Incorporated, he went on to serve as Chairman, CEO and President of Bridgestone Bandag, LLC beginning June 1, 2007.
He has subsequently led a transition team for the creation of a single new truck and retread tire business unit comprised of Bridgestone and Firestone truck and bus tires, Bandag, and Bridgestone Americas’ GCR Tire Centers and White Tire stores, and Bandag’s TDS operations.
Solomon joined Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. in 1993 as a Senior Counsel, later serving as Division General Counsel, Corporate and International. In 1997, he assumed the role of Division Vice President-Labor Relations. Solomon became Vice President and General Counsel of Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc. in September, 2000.
Solomon serves on several related boards, including: Bridgestone Americas, Inc.; Bridgestone Bandag, LLC; Firestone Diversified Products, LLC; and the Bridgestone Americas Teammate Assistance Fund.
Solomon holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of North Carolina.
He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association.
